Welcome to POAC 2019

Delft University of Technology welcomes you to The Netherlands for the 25th edition of the International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions. Around 200 participants from over 30 countries are expected to participate in four days of exciting presentations and discussion of research ideas. In addition to the main sessions, our guests will be treated to a welcome party, technical tours and a gala banquet, in and around the beautiful city of Delft.

Second Tour: Dutch Heritage

Due to a limited number of visitors for MARIN an additional tour is organised. The Heritage Tour will take you to the fight against water, which The Netherlands has been fighting for centuries. You will visit the Maeslantkering and Kinderdijk. More information can be found here: Programme June 11

The City of Vermeer

Delft University of Technology is proud to welcome POAC to the Netherlands for the first time. The city of Delft with its tree-lined canals, charming buildings and rich history is sure to provide a delightful setting for the conference. The venue for POAC 2019 is the Aula Conference Centre at the heart of the TU Delft campus. The venue is at a 10 minutes walking distance from Delft Centre and only 5 minutes from Delft Central Station by bus. In turn, Delft Central Station is easily accessible by trains from all major Dutch cities and airports.
